When the sun goes down, Hong Kong comes to life. Find out the best bars, clubs, and restaurants that Hong Kong nightlife has to offer, and stay out all night.
Are you itching to get a taste of Hong Kong nightlife and see everything come alive? Hong Kong's vibrant nightclubs and bars offer plenty of fun and excitement and fuel your energy all night long.
Popular Clubs
One of the most famous club in Hong Kong is Club 97. It's been in business for over 20 years, and its sleek interior is a hit with Hong Kong's hip crowd. The music varies by the night, and Sunday's reggae night is especially popular. Mo Bar is another well-known venue, and, like Club 97, it is a place to be seen. Located in the Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Mo Bar is exceedingly stylish, and the décor features many luxury furnishings and decorations. If these super trendy locations are appealing, then you'll probably also like Aqua Spirit. The crowd is predominantly comprised of business professionals and wealthy travelers, and everything about the place is chic.
Clubs by Location
Rather than picking the particular club or bar you'd like to visit, it might be easier to limit your nightlife experience to geographic areas. This way, you can spend time in a few different clubs in close proximity to one another, and they're likely to offer very different ambiences and themes. Hong Kong Island, for example, is home to a wide array of bars and clubs and just shows how diverse and fun the Hong Kong nightlife really is. There's Agave, a Mexican-themed cantina with many tequila-based cocktails, and Dublin Jack's, which is an appropriately named Irish Pub. For the ladies, we recommend Joe Banana's. Celebrities come here often, and women drink for free on Wednesday nights.
Kowloon Nightlife
Kowloon's nightlife is also impressive, as most restaurants alone don't close until well after 2:00 a.m. Come in the summer when, thanks to bars becoming overly crowded, people spill out into the street, creating a festival-like setting and making Hong Kong nightlife one of the best. The trendiest bar here, Felix, can be found in the Peninsula Hotel. It is best known for its views, as the dance floor is transparent. On the other end of the scale is Ned Kelly's Last Stand, which is the oldest pub in Hong Kong. Predictably, it is a cozy location, and it has a house jazz band.
